To score the field events, take the distance or height and convert to inches. Divide this mark by the record (converted to inches) shown in the table below, multiply the results by 1000, and truncate any fraction remaining. The result is the decathlon point score.

(your mark in inches) / (inches for you in chart) * 1000 = (your score, after truncating any fraction)
